The Council’s Corporate Business Support service is excited to offer a number of Senior Administrative Support Officer to Social Worker vacancies.
These newly created roles are part of our innovative approach to supporting children’s social workers to deliver improved outcomes for some of the city’s most vulnerable children, young people and families.
The role will involve working closely with social workers to support them in managing their case load. This will include developing collaborative relationships with various stakeholders including; service users and partner agencies.
With no two days the same, the role offers a varied workload which will involve responding at pace to changing priorities.

Please note that due to the services these roles support they will involve child protection and safeguarding information which can be emotive, therefore we recommend candidates consider this prior to applying.
This role is based at West Offices with potential requirement to work from other Council offices (e.g Children’s centres). Working from home initially due to COVID.
The duties of this post require the postholder to undertake a basic Criminal Record check (unspent convictions only) via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
