About the team:
Our team works with every department in the City of York Council to ensure statutory data returns are submitted in a timely and accurate manner. The team is also responsible for advising colleagues on the best way to interpret and use data.
You will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the team’s work.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience will mainly be gained through working closely with colleagues in the team.
A Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship will be gained by the end of the course.
Tasks will include:
You will need excellent interpersonal and IT skills, enthusiasm to learn and a keen eye for detail.
Due to the nature of the role, high levels of confidentiality will be expected at all times.
You should have 5+ GCSEs at grades 4+ (or equivalent), including Maths, English and ICT.
Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
Predicted grades will be accepted at application stage, but confirmation/certificates will need to be provided before any job offer is made.
We will share some of the details you have included in your application form eg name; date of birth; email address; mobile number and qualifications with our appointed apprenticeship training provider for the purposes of the recruitment process.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
